A Few Must-Have Tools for Small Business Growth

November 06, 2018  By Gabriel Melean

As small business owners, many of us are constantly looking for news ways to optimize the growth of our business. Whether it be from new marketing strategies to considerations of further investment, our main goal is to generate new leads and revenue to even further the expansion of our business. One way in which we can all continue to grow our businesses includes the use of specific tools that work to enhance our productivity and business outreach. We owe it to ourselves to look into these tools due to the fact that they offer significant value when it comes to the interest of our businesses. That said, let’s take a look at what’s out there!

Task Organization

Given the fact that we each retain several tasks on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis, it’s important for us to organize a way in which we can keep track of all of our tasks and deliverables. Not only among ourselves, but among several of our team members if applicable. As such, a task organization platform can be supremely effective and efficient when it comes to completing our necessary tasks. There are several online platforms that are available at little to no cost, including platforms such as Asana, Trello, Evernote, and many more.

...it’s much more cost-effective and efficient to use an online platform that helps to market our businesses...

Social Media Management

As you are already aware, social media plays a significant role when it comes to the exposure of your business. It also serves as an excellent way to connect directly with your client base. As such, it is within our best interest to manage and maintain our social media accounts on a regular basis. This includes responding to individual comments/questions, posting updates, and connecting with others within our social circle. In order to make the most of our time, we need to use social media management tools to do all of the above much more quickly and efficiently. Some of these tools include Hootsuite, Hubspot, and even Google Analytics.

Local Outreach

Many of our businesses revolve around a local client base and outreach. The problem is that door-to-door outreach is not only costly, but it also doesn’t allow us to make the most of our time. As such, it’s much more cost-effective and efficient to use an online platform that helps to market our businesses to potential local clients. Ideally, we’d like to use a platform that can showcase our business offerings, prices, ratings and reviews, and several other factors that can convert a lead into a client. Platforms such as EezyBee allow us to do just that.

Keep in mind that these platforms are meant to enhance specific requirements and responsibilities that we should already be working towards. As a business owner, you have to recognize the importance of your time because as they say, “time is money”. These tools allow us to save time and money, which is something we’re always looking out for as small business owners. By utilizing these tools (and others), we’re increasing our productivity and improving our time management. A two for one! Have any other specific tools you use to enhance your small business? Please feel free to leave us a comment below, we’d love to hear what you have to say!
